Rig a Weedless Plastic Bait

Push the hook point down and out the bottom of the bait, then twist hook 180 degrees and insert up through the belly of the bait.

With the wide array of soft plastics and the variety of hooks, the setup is virtually the same. Once the hook is inserted into the head end, the placement of the hook requires some educated guesswork. Space the hook so the lure lies naturally without any bend.
